What are mini comics?

I know part of the fun is in their lack of concrete definition, but is there a loose standard as such? Maybe it's best to create a standard type of mini comic artists can aspire to?* If you created the standard what would it be?

Mine would look something like this:

• A mini comic is A6 in size (one quarter of an A4 page) form american and Canadians this would be a quarter of a letter or legal sized piece of paper
• A mini comic is 8-24 pages in length not including the cover
• small mini comic = 8 pages + cover
• medium mini comic = 12 pages + cover
• large mini comic = 16 pages + cover
• super large mini comic = 24 pages + cover
• Ideally the cover should be a thicker stock to protect the inside pages
• Productions values should be kept simple, eg, plain paper and B&W printing. The book should be easy and cheap to make, keep the extra effort saved for drawing and writing an awesome comic

*By 'standard type of mini comic' I don't mean every mini comic should be this way or it's not a mini comic but rather, a pre-imagined format that has a name, ie, 'Browns standard mini'**
