What I drew at Camp Chugnut

I spilt tea on this picture, on purpose, and then added the white highlights at home.

Ideas...

...I thought we'd talk more about them.
This is the only thing approaching a comic that I drew the whole weekend.

Joshmo

My last post was a little light on in terms of interesting things to say.
From Melbourne originally but I live in Hobart with me beautiful wife and time-sucking veggie patch, I've been working on my magnum opus comicus - "The Long Weekend" for a few years now. It's based on an essay written by a Jungian psychologist friend of mine from Alice Springs (where we used to live for a few years). Here's a drawing I did based on a great photo from the Alice Springs News, a local newspaper in ... Alice Springs ... you guessed it. I hope to have a few pages of footy awesomeness in there somewhere.

I'm also a musician and later this year I fully intend to do a comic-music crossover project that harnesses the sheer rock-power of Christopher Downes!!

Chugnut was a ball this year ... and I will have to return in future years to try and take the table-tennis crown of that bastard FULTON!!! I'll be training in the off-season.

You can find my sporadically updated comic and music-news on this blog here - The Collossal Adjective.

Jase

Hi Chuggers, I'm new to some, old to others.
This way my first year at Chugnut and was great to meet some new comic type people and draw and stuff.

I've been drawing comics for about 8 years now, and have published four collections of my comics under the Guh! title. I currently have a comic strip running monthly in Trouble magazine

Chris

Hey there fellow Chugnutters!

I'm Chris, and I make comics. I've self taught myself to draw and cartoon over the years but I've only recently been making and distributing my comics at zine fairs and cons. I've still got a lot to learn, and you can monitor my progress at http://inkendup.wordpress.com/

Be seeing you

hamishi

role call!

i'm hamishi, i also make comics but flickr wont let me download my own photos. i'm not very good at making comics but who cares, thats my name, "who cares". i have a show coming up that you shouldn't go to. i left all the hard work too late, its mostly paintings, maybe a coupla comics and some 3d stuff. marc pearson forced my hand into make comics, i resent him for it and i resent his look of proud steel when he tucks me in at night. i well waste too much time, and im one of the secret 5 who didnt jerk off at comics camp. but shut up about me, lets talk about my sweet nips.

My Chugnut comic

Done with a red col-erase, followed by a HB pencil, and finished in speedball ink with a zebra G nib. Colours done in Photoshop.

David Mahler

Hi hi hi everyoooone
My name's David.

Ummm...yeah, I've been drawing comics since I was really little, but I only really got into serious when I was about 15, 16, when I read my first issue of Seven Pages Digest (Crazy, right? But fer real!!)

I've made a few shitty mini's over the years, but lately I've been working on Kahvillen Comics. I'm currently writing and drawing issue #3 which I'll hopefully have done before I head to Switzerland in June. Woo! Yeah, what else...oh, before I started working full time at a phone store I called myself an "animator" as making music videos for Norwegians was the only way I made moolah. Ha. I'm currently working on, like, 3 or so animations which is bonkers and unnecessary. I have this tendency to overload myself, but it's the only way I feel motivated.

(Not sure how I feel about this one these days, but it was the first "lores" pic I could find...)

Lastly, I don't know if it's necessary, but I just wanted to say I had an incredible time at Chugnut this year, making wonderful new friends and hanging out with old pals. Thank you, everyone!
Chugnut, WOO!

Ive Sorocuk

I figure I'm a noobie chugnut-wise.

I'm a cartoonist living in Geelong and I've been making comics online
for more than five years. I do a monthly Comics Face strip in Trouble
magazine and this year I started posting one a week online. Lately
I've been playing around with Flash and want to finish a game I have
going and start making some cartoons too.

All my comics:
